What check must be performed immediately after fastening the seatbelt?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is to ensure that it is fitted tightly against the body. Detailed explanation: The seatbelt is the most important passive safety element. To work effectively, there must be no slack. Once fastened, it is recommended to pull the diagonal strap slightly upwards to snug it against the torso and pelvis. Analysis of incorrect options: Loosening it or wearing bulky clothing: Reduces the system's effectiveness. If the belt is not close to the body, in the event of an impact, the body will travel a free distance before being stopped, increasing the severity of injuries. Placing a clip: The use of clips or devices to relieve pressure is strongly discouraged and prohibited if they alter functionality. These items create artificial slack, which can lead to the 'submarine effect' (the body sliding under the lap belt) or cause you to hit the steering wheel before the belt restrains you.
