Is it permitted to drive a vehicle that exceeds the authorized limits of smoke emission?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

No, it is prohibited. According to the General Vehicle Regulations, as well as the Law on Traffic, Motor Vehicle Circulation and Road Safety, vehicles cannot circulate if they emit electromagnetic disturbances, noise, gases, or smoke at levels higher than the limits established by regulations. Driving under these conditions constitutes an infringement that can lead to the immobilization of the vehicle by officers if the emission is excessive and poses a risk to the environment or road safety. The fact that it is due to a breakdown does not exempt compliance with the rule; in such a case, the vehicle must be repaired before being driven again.
