As a general road safety rule, sidewalks, platforms, and walkways are spaces reserved exclusively for pedestrian traffic. Vehicles must use the roadway (carriageway). The circulation of vehicles (including motorcycles and bicycles) on sidewalks and pedestrian zones is prohibited, except to cross them —at a walking pace— to enter or exit properties (garages).
