When must the rear-view mirrors be adjusted?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Rear-view mirror adjustment is a fundamental step in vehicle setup and must always be performed before starting to drive, while the vehicle is stationary on flat, level ground. This is crucial for safety and ergonomics: Safety: Attempting to adjust them while moving (even at low speed) is dangerous, as it distracts attention from the road and can cause involuntary steering deviations. Correct Reference: Doing it on level ground ensures that the horizon line is centered, optimizing the field of view. Remember the correct sequence: First adjust the seat (distance and backrest), then the headrest, and finally the rear-view mirrors.
