In which cases may there be exceptions to the obligation to use seat belts, helmets, and other protective equipment?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is in certain special conditions. Although the general rule requires the use of these passive safety elements, the General Traffic Regulations contemplate specific exceptions regulated by law. These exceptions include: Medical reasons: Those provided with a certificate of exemption due to serious medical reasons or disability. Reversing or parking maneuvers: Temporarily not using the seat belt is allowed during these maneuvers. Certain professional groups on urban roads: Such as taxi drivers on duty, goods distributors in successive loading and unloading operations over short distances, or drivers of priority vehicles on emergency duty. The option 'No exceptions exist' is false, and 'In emergency situations' is incorrect because an emergency itself (panic or haste) does not exempt one from complying with the rule, except for regulated emergency services.
